FAQs

How do Dovetail pants, tops, and accessories fit?

See our Size Guide page with details about our sizes, fabrics, and fits.

When will Dovetail Workwear offer inclusive pant sizes?

All of our pants (except for the Christa DIY) are from size 000-18 in four inseams:  28", 30", 32", & 34". And we go up to size 24 in certain fabrics. Our tops will also go up to size 3XL. We do our best to be inclusive.

What are your sourcing and manufacturing practices, and where are your clothes sewn?

Dovetail Workwear values strong, sustainable relationships with our manufacturers. We're sourcing denim from Cone Denim Oeko-Tex certified facilities. We sew our pants in Merida, Mexico. Our denim sewing factory was intentionally chosen for its state-of-the-art water treatment facility as well as the fact that it is a gold-standard facility regarding labor, environmental, and community practices. It is run by a female-led management team. All of our supply and manufacturing partners have been selected with exacting standards for artisan craftsmanship and quality, ethical practices.

What is Dovetail Workwear's return policy?

If you return your order, we will send you a pre-paid return shipping label and we will deduct $10 from your return amount for the shipping fees. Please see our Returns Policy page.

What is your shipping policy?

We offer free standard shipping on orders over $49. We ship to Canada only using Canada Post and UPS.

How long does it take to ship:

We do our very best to get orders out to you. The East Coast should see their order in 4-6 business days and the West Coast more like 5-7 business days.

Are Dovetail Workwear pants preshrunk?

Yes, they have one wash during manufacturing to avoid shrinkage issues. For environmental reasons, we choose not to set our dyes with chemicals or repeat wash our fabrics.

How do I wash my Dovetail Workwear products?

Please check our care labels carefully. They provide specific, ideal guidance on how to care for and ensure the longevity of your Dovetail products.

For our pants and cotton-based tops, machine wash cold with like colors. Fasten hardware on overalls to avoid banging around in the washer or dryer.

We strongly recommend line-drying your Dovetail Workwear garments. Tumble-drying is hard on clothing, and can lead to fabric deterioration, color loss, shrinkage, warped elastic, and broken hardware.

If you must tumble-dry, fasten all hardware and turn inside out. Dry on low and take them out before they're crispy-dry and finish by line-drying.

SPECIAL CARE NOTES:

The Evaleen Trucker jacket SHOULD NOT be washed due to the wax finish on the exterior of the garment. Check the care label for details.

If you work with or around drywall, the indigo dyes on some of our blue denims and shirts can rub off within the first few weeks or months. The more you wash them, the less this is a problem, but please be careful in these situations as the indigo may transfer.
