The coveralls to end 'em all.
When mechanic Faye Hadley of All Girls Garage + Moto Mythbusters asked about coveralls, we dropped it all, and listened to what she needed in her do-it-all workshop wear. The only coveralls that worked for Faye came from the boy’s section of Target. They had 1 measly pocket, and she had to get them tailored to fit, but what else could she do? Traditional coveralls were too baggy – their wide legs dragged oil and dust into the rare cars she worked so hard to restore. Some had rivets and exposed zippers that could scratch her handiwork… And any coveralls designed ‘for women’ came in cheap, brightly-colored fabrics that brought the wrong kind of attention.
Dovetail to the rescue! We focused on fit, adding an inner drawcord, belt loops and snaps to keep ‘em up with a tool belt or when it gets too hot in Faye’s West Texas garage to wear the top. Deep chest pockets hold screwdrivers, wrenches, her notebook, and pens.
These coveralls also have all our Dovetail Workwear fan-faves: crotch gusset for ultimate mobility, reinforced knees with a slot for pads, and nested pockets that prioritize storage on the right thigh – Faye can fit a large flashlight in hers for looks under the hood.
