Our fan fave Shop Pant is vintage denim meets skater chic, loaded with 11 stealthy pockets to stash all your essentials.
We crafted just 250 pairs in selvedge denim, a premium fabric woven on wooden shuttle looms. The threads loop around the edge of the fabric, so it doesn’t need a hem to prevent fraying– a self-edge, or selvedge. This heritage technique uses more human handiwork than modern motorized looms to create a pliable and vibrant indigo denim.
Selvedge is typically white and red– But Dovetail is anything but typical. Our friends at Cone Mills entranced us with a technicolor dream denim that looks like a classic blue jean– until you cuff her, and reveal the rainbow connection.
This is our new edition of the Pride Pant. Customers told us they wanted MORE rainbows– say less. We added rainbow selvedge to the front coin pocket, and the Shop Pant’s unique criss-cross back belt loop.
Fit Note: We designed the shop pant to be worn relaxed and slouchy. It comes in 2 lengths, 32” and 30”. For a cool cropped ankle vibe, choose shorter than your typical inseam.

We're proud to partner with the legendary Cone Denim mills. Cone works hard to minimize the environmental impact of denim production, with rigorous water, energy, and waste reduction strategies at all of their facilities.
This is no run-of-the-mill fabric. Selvedge denim is tightly woven on traditional shuttle looms, giving it a beautiful slubby yarn character and durability.
The indigo dye used on this fabric can transfer to other items. To avoid staining your other laundry, cold wash separately with like colors.
Turn inside out.
Wash cold.
Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.
We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

"I bought these on a whim as someone who hates jeans but loved the graphene jeans. These are a very good quality denim material, although a bit thinner than expected. The fit is not quite a women's fit but not quite a men's fit. I straddle the line with my muscular body shape, so these are perfect. Inseam length is great as someone who wears a 30" standard, 32" with boots. I wish they utilized this fabric for more styles. This is a very nice denim. I do wish the belt loops were better attached. I've since reinforced them by hand as I'm hars on the loops. They fit a bit loose on my hips, but I have no problem with a belt. I also wish this was a double front and had more pockets. Overall, a very comfortable pair of jeans with cute details. Fit true to size for me (size 4), might not for other body types. I am a size 4 in the graphene pants, Anna task pants, cargos, and a 6/8 in the Christa diy."
