You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Excellent, well made pants!

"I like the fabric, the color and the quality is excellent. I find the fit of the lower leg is the only thing I don't love. My calves aren't huge but the pants fit snug enough at the lower leg to make them a little awkward to take off at the end of the day. Not a huge problem but it's the only part I don't love."

"I love these pants! Several people have expressed poor sizing but I've found them to be almost true to size. I typically wear a size 6/30 so that is what I ordered. They fit on the slightly larger size, but I know sizing down to a 4 would be too small. The stretch and shape are fantastic."

Way too big

"Typically wear a size 4 in dovetail pants…. These gapped so badly I could fit both my arms in the waistband while wearing them fully zipped up…. Very disappointed to add these to the pile of women’s “work pants” that don’t fit properly. Not all women in trades are big and burly, some of us are petite or just an average height/weight, we would like to have some options that aren’t awful."

Grey colour smaller than the rest

"I regularly wear a 10/30 in the go-to work pant, and have always bought the black or tan colour. I thought I’d switch up the colour this time and get the cement grey. Well i tried them on the minute they arrived and they didn’t fit. I couldn’t even do up the button. How can there be such a size discrepancy between colours? I had to return them. Not super happy that I had to pay to send them back, when there shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place."
