CARE

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry.
  • If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.

Please start making these again in smaller sizes.

"These were the best work pants I have ever owned. Durable and latest through a full season of work. I am a size 2 which hasn’t been available for a couple of years now. I purchased the Brit utility FR as a replacement option and they had holes in them almost immediately, 3 months into the current job I need a new pair already, $250 + is too much for pants that only last 3 months. Please bring the original back in smaller sizes they were the best!!"

Great pair of pants!

"I love my pants. I accidentally got them in a slightly larger size, so im getting them altered to fit better. The utility pockets are amazing and are just what I look for in work pants. The only comment I have about the pants are that the pocket that sits on the side that holds my phone is too close to the back for me. Its all-around a good pair of pants!"

Boot cut instead of pictured and a size 14 labeled as a 10

"The fit is XXL I ordered 10/32 and they are the same size as a 14/32 Extremely Disappointed as I was trying to replace my beloved existing pair, (that I wear for work) that are wearing out. Not sure hat to do as I don't like playing guess that size at $120 a try, and because I got them during the black Friday sale, no returns :("

Very comfortable, could be tighter

"Very comfortable, could be tighter around the waist"

Carpenter review

"These pants fit great. They have just enough give for easy movement and thick canvas for durability. Currently wearing them as I write this and they are my go to work pants at the moment."

samantha c. (5/5)

"Size 8 is a bit to small so I ordered a size 10 and they are to big. It's hard to find a size that fits right. I have 2 pairs of overalls, and 4 pairs of pants just trying to find sizes, has become difficult. I am a farmer and live in my work pants. They are super comfortable and very well made. I love that they are Canadian women owned and operated business. I live in the deep mountians of British Columbia, so the insulated overalls are great for winter. I ride horses and motorbikes in my Dovetails."

Grey canvas worn by electrician

"So I’m an electrician and I’ve got 5 pairs of the Britt utility in grey canvas . Quality is awesome , the fit equally awesome. The material is of great quality. They wash well. But I do not dry them, fear of shrinking. The only negative I have about these pants is , that the side pockets aren’t deep enough for my screwdrivers to stay in comfortably. If they were an 1 1/2 inch deeper I think they would be perfect for me in the electrical trade . Other than that , I highly recommend them whether you’re in the trade or just working around home"
