Pantalon Maven X - Canevas Vert

Amazing!

"These would be my 4th pair of dovetail pants and I know I need to stay with the maven style for the slimmer fit. I have realized that their different styles fit extremely differently and the maven X seem to be the best for a slimmer body type. I love these in green and they fit pretty well exactly like the thermal pants. I noticed with the thermal ones I had they had kinda extra fabric in the front of the crotch which I didn't like but the more I wore them the more it seemed like the fabric wasn't as saggy. These ones def have that same saggyness in the front of the crotch but I think that will go away over time. These fit great! I love all the pockets and the slots to put things in. I do alot of tree pruning and having a handy slot to put my hand pruners into is amazing!"

Bought 3 pairs for client garden work.

"Love the pocket variations, The waist was slighter tighter than other pant manufactured cuts. I loved them however and squeed in. Less than a full season the fabric tears…not to one pant but 2 pants, just over the knee. Not happy…so I called and they sent another pair. I thought maybe that was a one off issue. Turns out the replacement pair also tore in the same place. Not worth the cost and time. Its a bit high of a price for that repeated problem…and not as durable as I trusted. Another season and I need pants…but now I sadly cant see myself spending that money for a great design, and poor 1 season outcome."

Awkward sizing

"Fabric and style looked perfect. I was really excited about these pants. However the sizing based on the size chart put me between a size 12-14. The 14 in other brands would normally be a bit too large, but all the reviews say to size up so I thought it would be fine. The pants are big in the waistband and even bigger in the seat. But the thigh area just fits. Unfortunately these pants, even a smaller size, are better suited for a less curvy person with a different hip/thigh to waist ratio."

Had to return these

"Similar to what others have mentioned, the design for these is a bit strange. There's a stretchy waistband inside but the fabric itself doesn't stretch so it seems like it's kind of there for nothing. . I'm curvy/muscular (5'2, 150 lbs) and found them too tight in the waist/butt and too baggy in the crotch. Maybe these fit better for women who are slimmer? Not sure."

Definitely SIZE UP!

"The pants and quality are great. They are tighter in the leg than expected which I like but definitely DEFINITELY size up like other reviews say. I'm normally a 10 to 12 and a 14 was a snug fit. I would consider these high rise too, even though it says mid rise."

Maven X

"These pants were too tight in the waist and too long in the legs. I thought I would have to send them back. But I trimmed a few inches off the bottom, hemmed them and used the fabric to insert some ease into each side of the waist. Now they are my favourite pants. Very comfortable and I love the pockets."

sizing inconsistencies

"Love these pants but I really wish Dovetail would work on making sizing more consistent among models/fabric. I even spoke with someone and still the wrong size. Way smaller than my other ones. . . that are the same size! So size up here!"

fit was off

"This was my second pair of Maven X, however, this pair was tighter around the knee area and much looser in the seat. My husband made the comment that they were not very flattering."

Nothing "ez" about the waist

"Really disappointed - bought these pants specifically for the "EZ waist" but it's just an elastic sown onto the inside of the canvas pants, which means the waist has exactly as much give as canvas, i. e. none. I'm truly confused by what the purpose or intent of the elastic is, as it seems purely for show. Material of the pants seems otherwise good quality but I'll be returning these due to the disappointment in the waist."

"Great fit, super comfortable, very easy to move around in (as a plumber that does a lot of crawling that’s very important to me), lots of pockets, and they look really nice. It’s really hard to find quality women’s workwear, especially in smaller sizes, and it’s rare to find any workwear that looks nice while also being functional."
