FABRIC

  • Stain-resistant. Get dirty, wash clean.
  • Water-resistant. Shake it off.

These shorts are super lightweight so you can work in the heat and keep your cool. Does lightweight mean wimpy? Hell no. This is Dovetail, people. Ripstop shuts out the sharp shit. A touch of stretch means you can bust your moves in comfort.

CARE

You got 'em dirty, now get 'em clean.

  • Turn inside out.
  • Wash cold.
  • Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.

We get it's tempting to wash those dirty shorts in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The new sizing is great

"I never wear shorts, but now that I am in the WDNC (we do not care) phase of life, the world will have to deal with my legs, lol. It's just too hot out. I love my Britt X Ultra Light ripstop pants. So based on the new 'ReTooled' size chart, and a need to be cooler, I ordered these shorts. I was fully prepared for the disappointment of not being able to do up the zipper, and to send them back. Redesign the right side pockets please

"I do love these shorts and wear them regularly for shop and garden work. I feel a rethink and redesign of the right side pockets is in order as the top one is too deep and the bottom is too short. This is my go to side to stuff my tools. Example; my hand pruners are hard to dig out of the top pocket and they fall out of the bottom pocket."

Comfortable but...

"They are comfortable, but I prefer the cut of my Day Construct pants. These shorts by the same name have an elastic waistband and fewer loops to hold a belt. They also fit big compared to the pants. When I purchased the Day Construct shorts I expected them to have the same fit around the waist as the pants — they do not."

Great shorts, especially for taller girls!

"I've been struggling for years to find nice work shorts as they either don't have any pocket space or are super short on me (I'm 6'-0" tall). I thought I'd give these shorts a try since they looked like a good length in the pictures, and these are the best work shorts I've ever bought! I ordered based off the sizing chart, and the fit was perfect! The shorts are a very durable and lightweight material, which is perfect for the summer!
