Engine oil, grease, and dirt are no match for Faye Hadley, who works hard and gives her all to every car she works on. She asked us to design coveralls that were durable enough to survive her toughest days at All Girls Garage + Moto Mythbusters. We listened, and we delivered.
We created Faye the coveralls she needed, but they aren’t like anything else on the market. Deep chest pockets organize her notebook, pens, screwdrivers, and wrenches. We added an inner drawcord, belt loops and snaps to keep ‘em up when it gets too hot in Faye’s West Texas garage to wear the top.

Hang dry. If you must tumble, tumble low to damp dry.
We get it's tempting to wash those dirty pants in hot water and tumble dry the hell out of them. But like any high-quality tool, this one will last longer with TLC. Heat messes with our special stretch sauces and secret weatherizing potions. And it can shrink, warp, and otherwise damage the fine fabrics that make Dovetail Workwear sturdy, comfortable, and tough on the job. So for a long life, wash cold, and hang dry or tumble low. The planet will thank you too.
"You made a legit fit for short people - THANK YOU!! I’m 5’ tall, 117lb - I never find clothes that fit - adult sizing is weirdly baggy and kid sizing is weirdly tight. To anyone with a long torso complaining - please let me have this fit! These are the only coveralls that don’t look like MC Hammer pants on me, and if you’ve ever tried to move your legs with a crotch hanging halfway to your knees, you’ll know it’s impossible to lift your legs to walk up or over things. Let the shorties move safely - we need all the leg lift we can get!! Ps. This is my favourite article of clothing - I own three pairs of XXS and 1 pr of XS for layering"

Torso length too short
"Love the material of the coveralls and their flattering fit. I’m 5”11 130 lb 25” waist and used their recommendations to choose size XS. The leg length is perfect which is normally a problem for me but unfortunately the torso length (length from the shoulders to the crotch) is at least 3-4 inches too short making the coveralls really uncomfortable to wear. I’ve never had this problem with coveralls purchased from any other company and have tried many. I appreciated customer services timely responses -but twice even after clarification I got a generic response to my question if a larger size would also have more length in the torso. Dovetail I don’t need the bust waist and hip measurements- that all fits perfectly. Because my fit question couldn’t be answered I won’t be taking a risk and ordering a larger size. Disappointing! I had high hopes!"

Hello Dovetail
"I purchased these clothes because I was frustrated with the fit of my painter pants. I lead the Empower Her Program, which focuses on providing women with home repair and painting skills. So, I was seeking new workwear that was comfortable and practical for the program. Dovetail's mission to provide tasteful and appropriate clothing for working women caught my attention, especially as they highlight powerful women in the trade industry. The concept of empowering women through comfortable and confidence-boosting apparel aligns with our program's goals. The Empower Her Program encourages women to learn home interior repair and painting skills, which in turn provides them with self-reliance, financial independence, personal fulfilment, and networking opportunities. These skills help them take control of their living spaces, save money, and feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in their homes. I have been wearing Dovetail's gear, and my fellow program participants have been asking me where I got it. I passed on your name to the team at Manitoba Construction Sector Council, who are organizing the Empower Her Program to build a stronger workforce for women in the trades. Most of the women in my group are on tight budgets and cannot afford to buy expensive workwear. Many of them are newcomers from Ukraine, Africa, First Nations, young mothers with children, and youth who are just starting in the workforce. They manage to show up to the job site every day, but their workwear is not always ideal. I believe these women deserve better workwear, and I hope they can wear Dovetail gear soon.
